How to Be Happy Single | (Relationship Advice for Women)

How to Be Happy Single? That was a pretty cool question that I was asked recently and I thought I would share a few helpful tips. It can be easy to get caught up in the persona of relationship goals or couple goals. It is tempting to think that we need someone else to fill places that require us to look within rather than for someone else to make us happy.

I believe the most beautiful type of love first starts with loving the person that we see in the mirror. Falling in love with yourself makes it easier for others to love you equally as much. Once you are ready to take that next step, the person who comes into your life should then only ADD to what you have and not leave you feeling overwhelmed, drained, or insecure.

I have included two links below. One is an interview between Wendy Williams and Pauletta Washington. Wendy asks Pauletta about being married to a leading man like Denzel Washington. I absolutely loved her response. You can tell that she is rooted in her own truth and identity. The other is Oprah Winfrey speaking about how her cup runs over. She speaks about overflowing from a place of self love and confidence.

Your season of being single and waiting is truly a blessing! I hope that you will fully embrace it. The love and happiness that you dream about will one day find you, but until then, continue to explore and seek the adventures of life enjoying the skin you are in as an individual.
